Most freight companies plateau for the same reason. The people kept working; the system around them was never built to scale. Pipeline lives in a rep's head. Forecasts are guesses. Sales promises what operations cannot deliver.
Journey helps freight brokerage executives, owners, and founders fix that. Account targeting, deal flow, team handoffs, carrier strategy, comp design, and a forecast leadership can plan against; we get into all of it.
Journey has completed 70+ consulting engagements and works with 14 of the top 100 players in the space. We fix plateaus every day; yours won't be the first.
Restructure sales strategy, define who owns what, and build a repeatable sales process that does not depend on any one person. When the top rep leaves, the process should survive them.
Align outbound activity, messaging, and tooling so the team stays in front of the right shippers and decision-makers instead of chasing whoever answers the phone.
Remove the friction between sales, operations, and marketing. The gap between what sales promises and what operations delivers is one of the quietest drivers of churn in freight. Clients rarely explain it. They just get less loyal.
Managers and reps get coached weekly against live deals; what to say on the next call, how to save the stalled account, when to walk. Feedback happens on a schedule, before something breaks.
A business with structure behind it. Sales, operations, and the carrier side work from one cohesive plan. You stop managing chaos and start managing growth.

Journey was founded by Will Jenkins, co-founder of MoLo Solutions, one of the fastest-growing freight brokerages in the country before its acquisition by ArcBest. He built the sales organization, scaled the team, and led revenue programs that helped grow the business to $1.25B in annual revenue. Since founding Journey, he has run 70+ consulting engagements with brokerages, carriers, and logistics companies. The advice comes from someone who has done the job.
Journey has completed more than 70 consulting engagements and in total, we work with 180+ freight companies, including 14 of the top 100 players in the space.
The main goal of our engagement for me was to learn how to speak to our ICP, and I feel like we are doing exactly that.
Will's experience in building sales teams in logistics gives me confidence that he will help me structure a solid process here in our new office.
Journey has been a game changer for Flock. They did an incredible job understanding our company, identifying our unique differentiators, and providing an unbiased, expert perspective on initiatives we have in motion.
Our mission is to deliver Shared Truckload at scale, and our people are integral to achieving this. Journey's framework for investing in our people has been invaluable, and their support in bringing in talent with deep industry expertise is critical to our success. Journey's understanding of the transportation and logistics industry is unmatched, and they've truly helped us take things to the next level.
Journey is a trusted partner of Flock and is someone we would recommend other brokerages to leverage.
Working with Journey has been an incredible experience. Will Jenkins showed tremendous patience and understanding throughout our interactions, and because of his kindness, we continued to build a strong working relationship. There were times when I needed support, and Will and the Journey team were always there.
The culture at Journey is truly special, one of inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration. They are some of the most innovative people I've met, and their commitment to teamwork is unmatched. Will's strategic guidance on sales was exactly what Kind Carrier needed at the time, and his insights led to real, tangible results for our business.
Journey's philosophy is built on the power of TEAM, and that value has resonated deeply with us. At Kind Carrier, we've seen firsthand how prioritizing people leads to success. We hope to have a lasting relationship with Journey and to support them as much as they have supported us.
I would highly recommend Journey for anyone who feels stuck and needs to figure out how to grow. Will has been there before and has seen it already.
Journey helped us create and implement a training program for our business development reps. This has tremendously improved both the onboarding of new reps and the monitoring of progress for existing reps. Will and the Journey team also helped us revamp our go to market approach and trained our team to better understand our core differentiators and our value propositions.
Partnering with Will and Journey has been a game changer for our organization. Having someone with the right expertise come in and assess our operations from an outsider's perspective has helped us identify bottlenecks and improve efficiencies in ways we hadn't anticipated. Journey has transformed our sales process, refined how we track success, and introduced real structure within the organization. As a result, we've seen tangible improvements in retaining accounts, expanding existing ones, and successfully bringing on new business.
Their fresh perspective and practical insights helped us streamline operations, improve efficiency, and refine our sales process. Their expertise led to measurable growth, and I'm confident they can continue to add value to our business.
I would highly recommend Journey. Their ability to address challenges and optimize key processes has had a significant impact on our business. They've helped us see real improvements in account retention and sales tracking, and I'm confident other brokerages would see similar results from their guidance.
What owners and executives ask before starting an engagement.
It involves diagnosing why revenue is inconsistent and then fixing the system underneath it. In practice that means auditing the sales process, defining an ideal customer profile with real criteria, rebuilding pipeline stages so forecasts mean something, clarifying ownership between sales and operations, and putting a coaching cadence in place.
Journey works on the structure around the team, not just the people in the seats. When the problem genuinely is the people, that is a recruiting conversation instead.
When the problem is the system rather than the headcount. If reps are working hard but pipeline is unpredictable, if revenue swings without an obvious cause, or if the brokerage keeps losing accounts it should be retaining, adding another rep repeats the same pattern at higher cost.
Those are process and strategy problems. If activity is genuinely too low across a process that already works, that is a hiring problem, and contingent recruiting is usually the faster fix.
It depends on scope. A focused engagement addressing one area, such as pipeline discipline or the handoff between operations and sales, is considerably shorter than a full operational and go-to-market rebuild.
Journey scopes the engagement to the actual problem after a diagnostic conversation rather than selling a fixed package. Journey has completed more than 965 consulting engagements with over 170 freight companies, including 12 of the top 100 players in the space.
