What can we help you find?

Start Here, Then Pick a Practice

Journey consulting is an umbrella covering two practices: freight brokerage and 3PL consulting and marketing consulting and creative services. They solve different problems, and the fastest way through this page is to work out which one you actually need before reading further.

Freight brokerage and 3PL consulting is the operational and commercial practice. It covers how the business runs: sales strategy, brokerage operations, team structure, carrier strategy, compensation design, and the forecast leadership plans against. Choose this one when the business works but does not scale.

Marketing consulting and creative services is the go-to-market practice. It covers who you target and how you show up: ideal customer profile, positioning, messaging, outbound strategy, brand systems, sales collateral, video, and web creative. Choose this one when the operation is sound but the market does not know what makes you different.

How to Tell Which One You Need

The dividing question is whether the problem lives inside the company or outside it. If deals stall because nobody can describe how a deal moves from stage to stage, that is internal and structural. If deals stall because prospects cannot tell you apart from four other carriers, that is external and about positioning.

Plenty of engagements need both, and they are frequently sequenced rather than run in parallel. Fixing the operating model first means the messaging has something true to say about it. Building the brand first, on top of a business that cannot deliver what the brand promises, produces churn rather than growth.

Consulting, Recruiting, or Training?

Consulting works on the system a team operates inside. If the process is clear and people are still underperforming against it, that is a skill gap and belongs in training. If the process is clear and the seats are wrong or empty, that is recruiting.

Journey does all three, which is the practical reason engagements often start as one and turn into another. A consulting diagnostic that surfaces a hiring problem does not have to restart somewhere else.

Why the Distinction Matters

Freight companies routinely buy the wrong consulting because the categories blur together. A brokerage that hires a marketing firm to fix inconsistent revenue gets a better-looking pipeline report and the same inconsistent revenue. A brokerage that restructures operations while its outreach still sounds like every other carrier fixes the delivery and never earns the meeting.

Naming the practices separately is not a packaging exercise. It is how an engagement gets scoped correctly, and it is why this page works as a starting point rather than a pitch for one specific service.

Who Runs the Work

Will Jenkins co-founded MoLo Solutions and helped scale it to $1 billion in revenue before its $235 million acquisition by ArcBest. Journey has worked with more than 170 freight companies, including 12 of the top 100 players in the space, and the creative practice has delivered brand systems for companies including Grane Transportation.

Choose your practice

Different constraints need different work. Here is how the practices divide.

Freight Brokerage Consulting
Sales strategy, operations structure, strategic capacity development, and compensation planning led by operators who have scaled freight companies.
Marketing Consulting & Creative Services
Brand strategy, sales collateral, video production, and web creative built for freight companies.

Why Us?

Journey was founded by Will Jenkins, co-founder of MoLo Solutions, one of the fastest-growing freight brokerages in the country before its acquisition by ArcBest. He built the sales organization, scaled the team, and led revenue programs that helped grow the business to $1.25B in annual revenue. Since founding Journey, he has run 70+ consulting engagements with brokerages, carriers, and logistics companies. The advice comes from someone who has done the job.

The main goal of our engagement for me was to learn how to speak to our ICP, and I feel like we are doing exactly that.

Journey helped us create and implement a training program for our business development reps. This has tremendously improved both the onboarding of new reps and the monitoring of progress for existing reps. Will and the Journey team also helped us revamp our go to market approach and trained our team to better understand our core differentiators and our value propositions.
